The Best CSU Session I Ever Had...

STRESSED OUT!! STRESSED OUT!! Today I got my CSU session for long history taking and also endocrince results is coming out today!!

I was hoping that I could get a very nice doctor so that I won't be scolded. It wasn't an usual history as this was our 1st time taking menstrual and gynaecological history. PRAY HARD!!!

In the room, I was waiting anxiously and I saw Dr. Jag came in after Ben. She looked so smily face and I knew..hehe... Today would be my lucky day. Yeap and I was right! I think it was because the presence of Ben. He was so humourous and Dr. Jag liked him so much...haha!!! So the whole session was actually filled of laughter. We kept laughing and laughing....

I think I actually have some improvement in my communcation skills and how to phrase the sentences but I missed out a lot of points. Erm...next time have to read more before CSU....

So how's my results? OK la... better than average lo... only got 16 people get A, 40+ get A-, 40+ get B+......couldn't remember all. I think this was our 2nd worst after haematology. I heard senior said that actually endocrine was quite an easy system, but look at our results.... haih....

Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire

Hohoho... So happy today... Coz finally Harry Potter 4 is showing in the cinema. I'd seen it's trailer in the cinema when I was watching "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" in August. Waited 4 it to show until my neck became longer and longer.

Xin Yi has booked the ticket 2 days ago by sending SMS. I was so happy as I got to see it in the 1st show of the 1st day. We decided to go early to get better seat. I took off from my home around 8.30am and reach Midvalley at 9.00am!! 1st time seeing Midvalley which was really empty. I went straight to the cinema counter and found out that I wasn't the earliest person. There were some other people who were earlier than me... I wasn't the only 1 who looked stupid!! haha!!

We were the 1st 1 who got the ticket so we got middle back seats. Everything seemed so lucky to us. I were so exciting b4 the show started, as I've been looking forward to this long long ago. I heard my friends said that harry potter 4's book was the best among all. I haven't read the book b4 coz I was thinking of reading it after the movie since most people agree that they feel the movie wasn't that nice after reading the book. Btw I've finished harry potter 5 & 6.....hehe...

So how was the movie? ....Actually disappointing.... Maybe it wasn't that nice as I expected. Why was it disappointing? I couldn't tell...it's just my instinct that telling me I didn't feel good after watching it. I couldn't compare it to the original book coz I haven't read that. I think I preferred harry potter 3 movie than this. Xin Yi agreed with me too. But I've asked some of my friends, they said that although it's disappointing but the 1 they like most was harry potter 4. Nvm....Different people got different opinion....

Still... I was amazed by their animation and sound effects. All the actors and actresses hah become taller and more mature. Neville Longbottom had become thinner, no more round face. Malfoy looked more handsome. Ron's still my favourite.... I liked him because he's very funny. Hermione... she looked very pretty in the ball with her hairstyles, but I don't like her ball dress. Harry potter, acted by Daniel Radcliff, who I seriously think he didn't know how to act. Btw, I saw in paper where there's comment that he's improving.

I think I have to wait for another 1 and a half year for harry potter 5....

GP Posting

My very last posting of my rotation posting - GP posting!! I did it with munny and stay at her house for a few nights.

The very 1st day of GP posting (thursday), we arrived the clinic quite early, even b4 the doctor came. The doctor who we suppose to attached to is Dr. Chen. He is a very good doctor and willing to teach us a lot of things. So lucky to have him as our GP. He is quite knowledgable and I think he supposed to be one of the top students in his class. Hehe... Most patients like him too and when they saw us (students) in the room, they would keep praising Dr. Chen as good doctor, very nice and HANDSOME too!!! Haha... Couldn't help it but I kept laughing.... in my heart, of course! Then he kept giving a lot of articles for us to read... of course, written by him, and showed us photos which he took during his travel. What was really surprised me was his knowledge in computering. He can make up formula of calculating those risk for disease by uncoding the formula from other website.

But munny got tummyache and diarrhoea on that day. She looked really pale but got free medications from the clinic... haha... I felt so sorry to her as I was there to kacau her when she was feeling really unwell. Gomenasai... Mun Yee!!

So for the 2nd day of the posting (friday), I had to go alone and have to trouble munny's mum to fetch me to the clinic. I saw more things on 2nd day, eg wound dressing, wound suturing, asthma attack.... the 1st day most patients came with diabetes and hypertension. Too bad munny wasn't there.

I was getting more boring for the subsequent days as most of the case were normal flu and cough. But there were some interesting cases too, such as impetigo, scleroderma, herpes zoster.... I could still remember we got to see 1 case which the patient cut his finger and was bleeding severly. The doctor tried to stop the bleeding by stitching it. Munny and I were standing there, looking at it without helping. It had taken long time for the doctor to stop the blood. But after around 15 minutes watching, I suddenly felt giddiness. I tried to drink more water and rest awhile, thinking why was I feeling giddy. I never feel giddy b4 while I was watching delivery and this was my 1st time feeling giddy throughtout my life... erm.. 2nd time actually (1st time was when I was having a very severe fever). But after 1/2 minutes rest, I went into the dressing room, continue watching it again.

From this posting, I've learned a lot of things, clinically and also some other fields about medicine which we couldn't learn from the textbook. Lastly, thanks to munny who let me staying at her house and also her parents who treated me all the meals and fetching us here and there. So 'pai se'!!

Ya!! and also I got my present from munny, angie, arathi, jinyu and yi ning...thank u very much!!

KKB Posting...

This was my last KKB posting... and it's supposed to be a good memory for me as arathi and munny were in the same group with me...

This was my 1st time staying in the house instead of the hostel. We had to walk long long way to the town from the house. Arghh....so tired walking... and somemore it' raining... And I dunno what happened to KKB residents. Munny and I walked past a house in the corner and there were some guys inside the house, using those funny funny sound to attract our attention... For sure I didn't bother them because I really hate it... And they scolded us for that... WHAT DA? They are Chinese and I think this is really 'memalukan' Chinese. And during our walk to the town, we also kena kacau by some Malay guys...kept calling us 'Ah Moi'... I really hate it!!!!

Besides that, everything just went well, including our BBQ. Thanks to munny as it was organised by her. Everything just went well as everybody contributed something... I did some preparation of food but so sorry as I didn't help to clean up, as I was busying playing Peurto Rico. hehe....

For hospital teaching, the only new thing I learned was taking reproductive history. I didn't even take any endocrine histroy or do any physical examination. If I ever be inititative a bit, maybe KKB posting would be useful for me. But I was such a lazy bump!! Kept sleeping during the lunch break as I slept quite late at the night before.

Btw, I knew how to play mahjong already. It really depends to our luck if you wanna win. Actually I've learned before but after a year, I've forgotten everything...hehe, due to munny, I managed to win a few games...

And...Ya!! There was a surprise party for arathi and me (again) during the BBQ night. So this was the 2nd party for me but it was an early celebration for arathi...Thanks to munny again.... She was really keen in organizing...haha...

Anyway I did have something that was memorable during my last KKB posting...

My birthday...

This year my birthday was a special 1... At first I had an early celebration with Jin-Yu and Yi Ning in redbox... Then, on my birthday, I was in Penang with my family... I woke up quite late on that day, and my mother went to Pasar and bought breakfast for us. She bought 3 pieces of sushi and said that they were for my birthday celebration. Haha... but not really tasty lo... (Of course la, what do u expect? Sushi King?)

I started to receive msg and calls from friends since last night... including Jiavern (from India), Michelle Ho, Angeline, Xin Yi, Jin-Yu, Arathi, Jane, and Mun Yee (who gave me suspense...hehe) TQ very much!! I did receive Ning's call too but our car was passing through a tunnel when I was trying to pick up her call... then it just went off coz got no signal...too bad.. Sorry Ning!!!

And also I met Jane in Penang. She msg me to wish me, then started to ask me whether we could meet up... She asked me to meet up at Gurney Plaza and we could have dinner at Gurney Drive. Coincidently our plan on that day was Gurney Plaza! So after visiting Kek Lok Si Temple and our lunch, we went to Gurney Plaza. We were stuck in the traffic jam as Stephanie Sun was having her autograph session there.

I were quite early for my date with Jane, so me and my family just walked around in Gurney Plaza. I met Jane around 5pm and she gave me a present. Haha..this was my 1st present this year and I was actually quite surprise as I thought we just met up only. Thanx a lot to Jane!! Too bad we couldn't have dinner together as Jane had to go back early *sob*

So..that's my birthday for 2005!! And also Penang food...YUMMY YUMMY!!!
